Caroline operates out of Waterford and Dublin, her home address is in Waterford city. The HSE (Health Service Executive) have confirmed that Caroline is not qualified in phone calls to concerned parents of Autistic children but we have never received this confirmation in writing until recently. I have been speaking out against this Woman for 8 years now. Like thousands of others I too am a victim of her scam.
The HSE have received many complaints from Autistic families. These concerns, complaints have been voiced for many years. The PSI (Psychology Society Ireland) have reported this FAKE Psychologist to the Gardai. Mairi Keenleyside Principle Psychologist Manager in Waterford has reported this FAKE Psychologist to the Gardai also. The Gardai should be investigating this charlatan for Fraud. Vulnerable people are handing this Woman huge amounts of money for bogus Autism assessments. These bogus assessments are NOT accepted by the HSE, however some assessments are still being accepted in certain regions, especially in Dublin and the Midlands.
Goldsmith is now claiming she can ‘treat’ illnesses, offering bi-yearly check ups for heart health. She advertises her dangerous quackery on her Instagram page, see below.
Imagine this FAKE Psychologist looking after vulnerable children with serious illnesses. How dangerous is that! Goldsmith pretends to be a Doctor, she used to poison Autistic children with dangerous quackery and supports quacks that feed BLEACH to Autistic children.
Goldsmith has recently been reported to the IMC (Irish Medical Council) for using a FAKE IMC number (GP registration) number. She is filling up Medical sections of DCA (Domiciliary Care Allowance) forms. Social Protection are investigating her also.
The HSE are aware of Goldsmith and all her scams yet they refuse to make a public statement to protect vulnerable Autistic people and their families. Their ‘internal’ conversations are not stopping this charlatan. Caroline Goldsmith is not just diagnosing children but adults also. She will even diagnose you in your home.
We have no regulation in Psychology in Ireland, CORU says it is coming soon. However they’ve been saying that for years.
There is regulation in food preparation but not in Psychology. This means bad people like Goldsmith are diagnosing vulnerable children without being qualified and getting away with it. It is dangerous and should be criminal. Gardai in Waterford have received more complaints from parents recently, they say they are investigating Goldsmith.
The lack of Regulation should not be used as an excuse to not prosecute this Woman nor should it be used as an excuse to not speak out, protect vulnerable children and adults. We all have a duty of care. You would think that HSE Doctors, Psychologists, Disability Managers would want to protect vulnerable children and adults. They know that Goldsmith is a FAKE. In fact they’ve known about Goldsmith not being qualified for at least 6 years, possibly longer. Until recently Senior HSE Psychology, Disability staff only confirmed that Goldsmith is not qualified in telephone calls. They’ve also referred to her as dangerous, abusive. They promised us they would consider making a public statement. The HSE have had at least 6 years to make this public statement, speak out and protect vulnerable, disabled families. Instead they’ve remained silent and left it up to parents to try and warn vulnerable families about this charlatan.
I myself have had hundreds of parents reach out to me over the past 8 years. Some are very traumatised, asking me for help? It is heart-breaking. I called the regulation body ‘CORU’ again today, asking them about a time frame regarding their regulation of Psychology. They told me that they can’t confirm a time and responded with the same old response, ‘it’s in progress’. They’ve been saying that for many years now. You would think that regulating Psychologists would be a priority for them.
Just because we’ve no regulation does not mean that this charlatan should be allowed to commit fraud, exploit vulnerable children, adults and their families. Pose as a Psychologist, a Doctor. Many of the children, adults receiving her bogus assessments might not even be Autistic. Autism is a life changing label. One parent recently told me that Goldsmiths assessment for her child was rejected by the HSE. This parent got their child reassessed by a qualified Psychologist. Goldsmith had diagnosed their child Autistic. The childs new assessment confirmed that this child was in fact not Autistic.
The HSE could have stopped this charlatan years ago, could have prevented all this pain, trauma. I am traumatised by this charlatan. It should not be my job to warn vulnerable families about this awful Woman. The Gardai too could stop this Woman, stop making excuses and prosecute her for Fraud.
Myself and other parents have sent emails to the CEO of the HSE and other HSE staff. Last January I received a reply from the CEO’S office which they directed to Head of Disability Services Anne Ennis in Waterford, see below.
I felt hopeful that after all these years begging the HSE to speak out they would now be investigating this awful Woman, speaking out, finally protecting Autistic, Disabled communities. The fact that they knew about Goldsmith being a Fraud all these years makes them complicit, responsible. Anne Ennis was instructed by CEO Paul Reids office to investigate this serious issue, she has received all important information about this charlatan. We’ve knowledge that some professionals, Public Health Nurses and even GP’s have been referring vulnerable families to this charlatan. There are hundreds, possibly thousands of victims of Goldsmiths scam.
Not long after receiving this email from Anne Ennis another parent, victim of Goldsmiths scam contacted me. They told me that the HSE had accepted Goldsmiths bogus Autism assessment of her child. This parent told me that an Assessment Of Needs Officer had accepted the report in Dublin. She gave me the details of the department that accepted Goldsmiths report. Mark Jefferies is the Assessment Officer in charge of that department. I sent an email to Mark Jefferies voicing my concerns as the HSE are not meant to be accepting Goldsmiths assessments. I was not expecting a reply back from Mark so soon nor was I expecting what we’ve been asking the HSE for these past 8 years, a written statement, confirmation from the HSE stating that Caroline Goldsmith aka Caroline Ward aka Caroline Daniels aka Caroline Fahey is not fit to practice as a Psychologist in Ireland. I rang Mark Jefferies and we spoke for 30 minutes about this serious matter. He is a lovely man and told me that the HSE were aware of Goldsmith not being qualified for at least 6 years. In fact he had reported it to the Principal Psychologist himself. He said that Caroline Goldsmith had been put on a Blacklist all those years ago. He told me that he has rejected her assessments even in recent years. He told me that he would investigate this parents recent assessment being accepted. He said he would escalate our concerns. We have written proof of negligence from the heads of Psychology, Disability in the HSE. Actually knowing that Goldsmith is a Fraud but remaining silent, protecting this dangerous charlatan. It is disgusting, it is a scandal. I believe that parents could possibly sue the HSE now that we’ve received this written statement from this Assessment Officer.
Yesterday I received an email from Head of Disability, Anne Ennis. I really was expecting some support, a plan of action but her response is appalling. A cop out. Anne doesn’t know about my written statement from Assessment Officer Mark Jefferies. Anne basically says that they can’t do anything and says it’s up to CORU to investigate. CORU CANNOT investigate Goldsmith as there is NO regulation in Psychology. Anne Ennis knows this and her lazy response is disgusting. Her lack of concern for the health, safety and wellbeing of Autistic, disabled children is shocking. See her email below.
What happened to morality, decency, doing the right thing? The silence from senior HSE staff members is sickening but we have Mark Jefferies statement. Are they going to say Mark is lying? The HSE are juggling many scandals but this is one of the biggest and worst scandals of all. We are engaging with Journalists, we are transparent because it’s the right thing to do. Autistic, disabled families are treated so badly by our Government in Ireland. We have to wait years for assessments, fight for supports. We have quacks abusing Autistic children, poisoning them with BLEACH. Carers are barely surviving on the scraps our Government throws at them. We will NOT be silent.
Again we are calling on the HSE to make a public statement. It is in their best interest to do this now. It is the least they can do for all the pain and suffering they’ve caused Autistic people and their families.
Goldsmith threatens anyone that speaks out even HSE staff. She has shared my personal information with third parties, data breach. She has defamed and harassed me, for many years now. I will NEVER be silent. I won’t stop until this charlatan is prosecuted.
